My name is Nicki, and I am a licensed teacher with a Bachelor's degree in special education. I decided to start these classes because I want to focus more on actually teaching. I want to encourage children's natural sense of curiosity, and foster a love of learning. I believe learning happens at its best not when children are told what they need to learn, but when they have questions that start with words like, "I wonder...", and "What if..." and "How can I..."

 

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, and of course, arts and crafts. I also love animals, and spend a lot of time either caring for my own animals, petsitting for my friends' animals, and volunteering at a local sanctuary for farm animals.
